Biography
Ana Clara Cristóvão is a researcher and entrepreneur in the health sciences field, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of NeuroSoV, a company focused on validating small molecules with therapeutic potential for Parkinson's disease. She is also a Principal Researcher at the University of Beira Interior (RISE-Health UBI), where she has built her academic career since 2013, first as a postdoctoral researcher and later as an invited Assistant Professor and auxiliary researcher at CICS-UBI.
Before joining UBI, she was a Research Associate at the University of Central Florida (2011-2013). In 2018, she founded NeuroSoV, serving as its CEO until 2025, when she transitioned to the role of CSO, continuing to lead the company's scientific direction. Her career combines over a decade of research in neuroscience with experience bridging science and applied innovation, particularly in the development of therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
