Getting There
Car
Viseu is accessible via the A25 (connecting Aveiro and Guarda), IP5 and IP3 (connecting Coimbra). The IPV campus is about 5 minutes from the city centre.
Train
Viseu does not have an active train station — the Beira Alta line is deactivated. The nearest stations are Mangualde (~25 km) and Nelas (~20 km), both on the Beira Alta line with connections to Lisbon and Guarda. From those stations, you can take a bus or taxi to Viseu (about 25-30 minutes).
Bus
Rede Expressos and FlixBus operate direct connections to Viseu. Approximate times: Lisbon ~3h30, Porto ~1h30, Coimbra ~1h15. The bus station is in the city centre.

The nearest airports are Porto (OPO, ~130 km) and Lisbon (LIS, ~290 km). We recommend renting a car or booking a private shuttle from the airport.
